According to at least one sensationalistic hater anyway. The Inq may be staffed by a few Apple haters but I love their articles.
I prefer Steve Jobs the commune resident. The guy who wears Levis and black mock turtlenecks each day because he does not want to waste any energy deciding what to wear (the most awesomely utilitarian ethos ever – I envy having the freedom to make this sort of declaration every day).
Let’s indulge the theory and compare Jobs to a well-known dictator:
- Like Mussolini Jobs had a comeback – bigger and better.
- Also like Mussolini, the comeback was backed but a bigger scarier bad guy (Microsoft)
- After a decade of glory, paranoia sets in (yup)
- Mussolini’s ardent followers wore BLACK SHIRTS!
- Even the Black Shirts are watched closely for evidence of moderate thought (can’t have that!)
OMG! He is a fascist! Time to dump that shiny new iMac. No, not really. I am more a Jonathan Ive fan anyway.
