Lenovo V3000 C200

The first of Lenovo’s planned series of customized Olympic-themed notebooks is up for auction today.

Bid on this limited-edition Lenovo 3000 V200 notebook PC signed by Gail Emms of the U.K. Badminton team, available exclusively to bidders within the U.K. This notebook PC is one of three signed by Gail Emms. Stay tuned for the next two auctions in July 2008!

Taken from the auction description:

About Gail Emms
Gail Emms, paired with Nathan Robertson, captured a silver medal in the badminton mixed doubles finals at the 2004 Athens Games, and they are currently ranked No. 1 by the International Badminton Federation ranking system. Gail has won five national titles in mixed doubles and four in women’s doubles and last year she won the All England Championship and the China Open in the mixed doubles with Nathan.

About the limited-edition Lenovo 3000 V200 notebook PC
Like the “Cloud of Promise” on which the design is based, the notebook cover features striking swirls of silver against a pure red base color. Gail’s signature is prominently displayed on the cover of the notebook (signed with a black Sharpie Fine Point Permanent marker).

Not sure about that last, bit as my greasy fingers can can smudge almost anything. The notebook itself is lovely, as is Gail Emms and with a starting bid of $1,000.00 USD it might make a nice collectible.
